Edwardian Platinum Diamond & Emerald Halo Engagement Ring .60ct

SKU: 46825

$5,995

This diamond engagement ring from the Edwardian era (ca1910) is absolutely breathtaking! Made of platinum, the ring holds a gorgeous old Mine Cut diamond at the center of an octagonal mounting. The center stone is bead and bezel set, and weighs approximately .55ct with F/G color and VS2 clarity. Surrounding the center diamond are 12 sugarloaf calibrated emeralds that form a halo around the  setting. Resting down the shoulders of the ring are 8 accent single cut diamonds that decorate the cathedral-style shoulders. The 8 single cut diamonds weigh approximately .10ctw combined, and have H-I range color and VS-SI range clarity. A delicate airline cutout separates the center stone from the octagonal border, accentuating the ring's geometric appeal. Completing the design is a stylish stacked band, a web of filigree wirework along the gallery, and fine milgrain detail throughout. The ring was appraised in March 2024 by an independent and accredited GIA certified gemologist and has a stated retail replacement value of $7,000. A really outstanding Edwardian ring that’s simply stunning when worn and would make an incredible engagement ring!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7.25 but could be re-sized if necessary. The octagonal centerpiece measures 3/8" wide on each side, and rests approximately 3/16" above the finger when worn. The stacked band measures approximately 1.5mm wide.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and minor wear to the emeralds, all of which are intact and securely set.
