A Family Story in Antique and Estate Jewelry

For over three decades, A. Brandt + Son has been a Main Line destination for antique and estate jewelry — built not by a corporation, but by a mother and son who share a genuine love for the craftsmanship of eras past. What started as a passion for uncovering beautiful, storied pieces has grown into one of the region's most trusted names in fine antique jewelry, without ever losing its personal touch.

Meet the Brandt's

Annette Brandt, Founder

Annette Brandt's path to antique jewelry began with a fascination for fashion and design. She studied metalsmithing and jewelry design at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and at the Academy of Fine Jewelry Art in New York City — training that gave her both a technical understanding of how fine jewelry is made and a deep appreciation for the artistry of pieces from generations before her.

In 1988, Annette began sourcing and selling antique jewelry finds through two beloved Philadelphia boutiques, Knit Wit and Plage Tahiti. Her eye for quality and her knack for finding pieces with real character quickly built her a loyal following — and earned her a Best of Philly award for Best Antique and Estate Jewelry in the city. That early recognition marked the beginning of a reputation she's spent decades building on.

Elan Brandt, Managing Partner

Elan Brandt didn't start out in jewelry. After graduating from Penn State University, he spent five years in corporate recruiting before deciding he wanted something more — a business built on relationships, craftsmanship, and family. In 2003, he joined his mother to open their first storefront together, bringing a business-minded partnership to Annette's expertise in antique and estate pieces.

Today, Elan helps lead the day-to-day of A. Brandt + Son, working alongside his mother to source, curate, and personally guide clients through one of the region's most respected collections of fine antique jewelry.

The Narbeth Showroom

A. Brandt + Son has called Narberth, Pennsylvania home since the fall of 2003, when Annette and Elan opened their first shared storefront in this quiet Main Line town just outside Philadelphia. Nine years later, in 2012, the family moved into a new showroom directly across the street from that original location — a space designed to give clients room to browse, linger, and discover.

The current showroom also houses a full-service engagement ring salon, where couples can explore an extensive selection of diamond and gemstone rings in a relaxed, no-pressure setting. Whether you're shopping for a milestone occasion or simply love beautiful things, the Narberth showroom is where the full A. Brandt + Son collection comes to life in person.

How We Curate Every Piece

Every piece that enters the A. Brandt + Son collection is chosen — and vetted — with the same care Annette has applied since 1988.

Authenticity

Each item is evaluated by trained eyes with decades of hands-on experience in antique and estate jewelry, so you can trust that a piece described as Victorian, Art Deco, or Georgian is exactly that.

Condition

Antique jewelry carries the marks of its history, but it should still be wearable and structurally sound. Every piece is assessed for condition before it reaches the collection, and clients can always ask about a piece's specific state before purchasing.

Provenance

Where a piece's history is known — its era, origin, or prior ownership — that story is part of what makes it valuable. We take care to research and share what we can about each piece's background, because part of what you're buying is the story itself.
