Most emeralds, antique and modern, have traditionally been treated with oil or resin to improve clarity, which is an accepted practice. We disclose any known treatment on each ring in line with FTC guidelines, so you understand exactly what you are buying.

Natural emeralds usually show internal inclusions, while synthetics tend to look cleaner and more uniform. Definitive identification is done by a gemologist. Every emerald we sell is represented accurately as natural or otherwise, and we can discuss available reports.
