A wonderful coral cameo ring from the Victorian era (ca1880)! Originally part of an antique brooch, the cameo now rests within a handmade 18kt gold setting, making this a wonderful conversion piece! The natural coral is meticulously hand carved, depicting the face of a beautiful woman. The carved detail is complete with sculpted facial features and curled tendrils of hair, creating a realistic 3-dimensional appearance. The coral displays a rich, deep salmon color that looks gorgeous paired with the bright gold mounting. Completing the design is a gold bezel frame and tapered band, which has etched details at the shoulders. Inside the shank is a "750" gold purity stamp and maker's hallmark. Perfect for the coral lover or cameo collector, this striking ring makes a special antique statement accessory!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7.25, but could be easily resized if desired. The coral cameo within its surrounding bezel measures 7/8" long, 1/2" wide, and 3/8" high. The gold band measures 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The coral cameo is securely set, and free of chips or scratches.
