A gorgeous diamond and sapphire engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful ring is made of 18kt white gold and features a stunning old European Cut diamond at the center. The .82ct diamond is micro prong set in an octagonal setting and has J color and SI1 clarity. Set on each shoulder of the ring is a tapered cut synthetic sapphire. The sapphires have a beautiful brilliant blue color and compliment the diamond perfectly. A gorgeous filigree pattern covers the sides and shoulders of the mounting, complete with fine cutouts, delicate milgrain detail, and engraved accents. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA certified Gemologist in July 2016 and has a stated retail replacement value of $4,000. A strong Art Deco piece, it would make a unique engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.75 but could be re-sized. The centerpiece rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn, and the tapered band measures 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting or to the diamond. Due to age, the synthetic sapphires have some minor damage at the tapered ends, which is not noticeable when worn, and does not detract from the beauty of the ring.
