A beautiful hand carved jadeite pendant from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This artistic piece is particularly large in size and is comprised of a vivid green jadeite stone that hangs from a 14kt gold split bail. The translucent green jade has the carved image of a leaping horse in the center, surrounded by a decorative swirled design that reflects the pendant's Chinese origin. There are three near colorless round brilliant diamonds set within the bail, adding a lovely sparkle to the piece. Accompanying the pendant is a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Gemological Jade Report issued in March 2015, which indicates the jadeite treatment as dyed and polymer impregnated. The pendant has a wonderful and unusual design and would make a perfect everyday addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 7/8" long, is 1 1/8" at the widest point, and approximately 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the large jadeite stone or to the gold bail, and all of the diamonds are intact.
