A fabulous pin from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This wonderful piece is crafted in 14kt gold and portrays the face of a lovable French bulldog resting at the top of a stick pin. The expressive face features incredible details, including folds, prominent jowls, cropped ears, and a textured fur-like surface throughout. A pair of sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds represent each eye, providing a wonderful shimmer against the incredible enameled background and "14K" is stamped on the back. This is an exceptional piece for any dog lover and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The stickpin measures approximately 2" in total length. The dog's face measures 3/8" wide, is slightly under 5/8 tall, and is approximately 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the stickpin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and both diamonds are intact and securely set. The enamel is in near pristine condition, only showing signs of the slightest wear, which is normal due to the age of the piece, and it is not noticeable when worn.
