The snake has been a powerful image since the Victorian era and continues to be popular even in modern jewelry. It has been an inspiration for jewelry design for ages, often used to symbolize eternity, everlasting love, life and protection.
This fabulous diamond snake ring is from the Victorian (ca1880) era and is simply marvelous! Intertwined and twisted around each other, the two snakes are made of 14kt yellow gold and have two mine cut diamonds bead set in sterling silver in each of their heads. The diamonds have an approximate total weight of 0.45ctw with H/I range color and SI1/SI2 clarity. The snake's bodies act as the ring's band, and the tails wrap around to the necks, adding to the beauty and detail of the ring. This fabulous ring would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 9 but could be resized if desired. The width of the band is approximately 3.5mm. The centerpiece of the ring measures approximately 13mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold or silver settings and all of the stones are secure and intact.
