A beautiful sterling link bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this substantial piece is comprised of large interlocking links which have a wonderful textured surface. The beautiful design carries around the entire length of the bracelet and the links come together at a heart-shaped padlock clasp. The large textured links have a stamped repousse design and the clasp has a smooth surface with a simple keyhole cutout on the front. The padlock opens at the "handle" providing a secure closure to the piece and the personalized inscription "PAULINE" has been hand engraved on the back. Additionally, the back of the heart is stamped "STERLING". The underside of the bracelet has a smooth sterling finish and each individual link has a drilled hole, signifying its hollow body. The hand wrought piece is very light in weight and comfortable to wear and the bracelet makes a bold statement when worn. It would look wonderful worn alone or paired with other complementary link bracelets!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 8" long, and would fit nicely on an average sized wrist. The curb link design measures 7/8" wide, and 3/8" thick and the heart-shaped padlock clasp measures 1 3/8" tall, 7/8" wide and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the sterling links or to the textured repousse detail and the heart padlock clasp is secure and in good working condition. There is some normal wear to the underside of the hollow links, including small dings, however, none are noticeable when the bracelet is worn.
