These amethyst teardrop earrings from the Art Deco era (ca1920) are simply stunning! Crafted in 14kt white gold, each earring has a feminine drop design that dangles an amethyst briolette at the base. The teardrop amethyst stones are faceted into a briolette shape and display a wonderful natural purple color. When worn, the facets catch the light perfectly, adding dimension and beauty to the natural stones. The amethyst links are capped in leaf-like tops, and dangle freely from two additional white gold links with floral etchings. At the top of the earrings are round floral surmounts attached to white gold earring posts. When worn, the earrings frame the face beautifully, and would look lovely worn on special occasions!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2" long. The faceted amethyst briolette links at the base measure approximately 1" tall, 1/2" wide, and 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting or amethyst stones, both of which are intact and free of surface chips or scratches. The posts are secure and in good working condition.
