This beautiful rock quartz crystal ring from the Art Deco period (ca1920) is absolutely wonderful! Made of 18kt white gold, the ring features an oval shaped rock quartz crystal plaque, which holds a single diamond in the center. The rock quartz crystal has a smoothly polished finish on the front surface and a unique reverse carved floral design on the back that shows through to the front, giving the piece wonderful depth. The plaque rests within a bezel setting and the sides of the mounting display an intricate filigree wirework design. Accenting the wirework and the shoulders of the ring are delicate flower patterns surrounded by fine milgrained detail. The diamond rests within a white gold box setting, which is riveted into the center of the plaque. The shank is stamped "AX" and "18K." It's a fabulous ring with a lovely Art Deco look and it would make a special addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 5.5 but could be easily re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the rock quartz crystal plaque and the diamond stone is in intact.
