A magnificent pair of turquoise earrings from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! These beautiful sterling silver earrings are of Chinese origin and display a flower-like shape hanging from simple earring wires. Each slightly convex piece features a cluster of seven natural turquoise stones, creating delicate cutouts in between that provide an airiness to the design. The stones vary slightly in shape and size, and exhibit gorgeous light blue and green hues marbled with natural brown matrix throughout. The bezels are graced with a scalloped edge, and a rope-like perimeter surrounds each setting. Finishing the design are simple earring wires attached at the top, allowing the earrings to dangle with lovely movement, and stamped on the back is "SILVER." These wonderful earrings make a fabulous statement when worn, and would make a gorgeous addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 3/8" long (including the wire at the top), and measures about 1" wide and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings are good. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting. The turquoise stones are all intact and securely set. The earring wires are secure and in good working condition. The silver surface displays a natural darkened patina, which is normal given the age of the piece and adds to the beauty and character of the design.
