A fantastic diamond briolette ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in platinum, this ring features a large, and highly-ornate centerpiece. The top segment of the centerpiece resembles a tiara, and is entirely encrusted with diamonds. The diamonds vary in cut, and in method of setting. The "tiara" is topped by a .25ct, prong-set old European cut diamond. The stone displays I/J color and VS1-VS1 clarity. The large diamond is complemented on both the left and right by a row of 4, bezel-set single cut diamonds. The "body" of the tiara-shaped component is further encrusted with bead-set single cut diamonds and channel-set baguette cut diamonds. The bottom corner of each side of the tiara features a prong-set .10ct old European cut diamond. The tiara is complemented by a dangling "y-shaped" extension, which is further adorned with bezel-set single cut diamonds and channel-set baguette cut diamonds. The bottommost part of the ring features a .55ct briolette extension. The briolette displays H/I color and SI2 clarity, and adds phenomenal movement to the ring. Overall, the ring has an approximate total carat weight of 2ctw. The band of the ring is smooth and simple, and the inside of the shank is stamped "Y7146". A one-of-a-kind piece, this ring would make a perfect addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is a size 7.5, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 1.66mm. The centerpiece has a height of 1" and measures 3/4" at its widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, and all of the diamonds are secure and intact. The dangling segment of the ring is securely attached and in working order.
