A stunning diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in platinum and features a sparkling old European Cut diamond prong set within a fantastic octagonal shaped box setting. The stone weighs approximately 1.35ct and displays H/I color with VS2 clarity, catching the light beautifully with every turn. A fine flowing wirework design graces the entire mounting, complete with lacy cutouts, adding a lovely feminine touch and a soft wheat motif lines the shoulders and every edge of the band, which graduates slightly towards the back. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in June 2020, and has a stated retail replacement value of $15,000.00. A visual masterpiece from all angles, this gorgeous piece would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size scant 6.75, but could be resized if desired. The centerpiece rests a little more than 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and the diamond is intact and securely set.
