A stunning diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful piece is made of platinum and features an old European Cut diamond resting at the center of an intricate filigree wirework mounting. The diamond, which weighs approximately .88ct, is prong set within a square-shaped setting and has I color and SI2 clarity. Decorating each shoulder of the ring are an additional four single cut diamonds, which together weigh .09ctw with H-I range color and VS range clarity. The mounting is simply exquisite, with fine filigree wirework and cutouts that form a floral design. Hand-engraved accents and delicate milgrain detail travel along the outside of the band, completing the lovely design. The ring was appraised in September 2012 by an independent and accredited GIA certified gemologist, and has a stated retail replacement value of $6,000.00. A very well-crafted Art Deco piece with a feminine design, it would make a wonderful engagement ring!
