A fabulous sapphire and diamond ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! Crafted in platinum, this gorgeous piece features an approximate 2.25ct sapphire cabochon which rests in a unique raised double-prong setting. A total of eight Single Cut diamonds line the shoulders of the ring in a box setting atop an airline containing a feminine swirled detail. The sapphire displays a gorgeous deep blue hue that contrasts beautifully against the bright diamond sparkle and the ring is completed by a smooth band stamped with an "R" and an overlapping, backward "D" along the inside. It would be perfect for an Art Deco lover and could also make a unique gemstone engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring fits a finger size of 5.5 but could be easily resized. When worn, the ring rests about 1/3" above the finger.
Condition: The ring is in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. The sapphire is free of chips and scratches and is securely set and all of the diamonds are intact.
