A magnificent locket pendant from the Art Nouveau (ca1900s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, the front of this locket features a bezel-set, .30ct mine cut diamond. The sparkling stone displays H/I color and VS1-SI1 clarity, and is surrounded by a phenomenal border of raised repoussé-detailing. The repoussé incorporates scrolling and wheat sheaf-motifs. The backside of the locket features a personalized engraving which reads: "HRS". The side of the locket pendant features a discrete latch, which allows the piece to open and close securely. The inside of the pendant features a singular, circular compartment, which currently holds an original photograph protected by a small plastic frame. However, the photo could easily be removed and replaced with a new sentimental photograph or memento. The top of the locket pendant features a complimentary bail, which would allow the piece to easily attach to a favorite gold chain. An exquisite piece, this locket pendant would make a special addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The locket hangs approximately 1 1/2" long (including the bail) and has a width of 1".
Condition: The overall condition of the locket pendant is excellent. There is no damage to the gold setting, and the diamond is intact and securely set. The complimentary bail and locket latch are both secure and in working order.
