A stunning gemstone ring from the Art Nouveau (1898-1908) era! This lovely piece is crafted in the Imperial Russia in 14kt rosy yellow gold and forms the shape of a beautiful bouquet of gemstone flowers and vines. Resting at the tips of curved wirework "stems" are clusters of gemstones, including four old mine cut diamonds and a rose cut ruby, that imitate buds and flowers. Each of the faceted stones are in open backed prong settings, catching the light beautifully with every turn. Two curved “leaves” lined with sparkling old Rose Cut diamonds rest at the opposite side of the bouquet, adding a wonderful eye-catching appeal. Finishing the design is the smoothly polished gold band that curls around the centerpiece and continues along to the back, adding a soft feminine touch and airiness to the design. The shank is stamped with Imperial Russian hallmarks, indicating that it was crafted between 1898 and 1908, including a woman's face, 56zl (equivalent to 14k), a maker's mark, and used item mark, indicating it was resold between 1908 and 1927. A wonderful and unique floral ring, this gorgeous piece would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7.75, but could be resized. The centerpiece measures approximately 3/4" tall, 5/8" wide, and rests 1/8" above the finger when worn. The band measures about 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the rosy gold settings. All of the gemstones are intact and securely set.
