A fabulous and bold carnelian ring from the Art Nouveau (ca1900s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this relatively large piece displays a gorgeous carnelian stone at the center of an ornate setting. The elongated stone displays a flat, smoothly polished surface and exhibits a wonderful rich, orangey-brown hue that pairs beautifully with the sterling setting. A fabulous 3-dimensional border encircles the entire stone, featuring flowing leaves and budding flowers that perfectly reflect its Art Nouveau era. A natural darkened patina adorns the low points of the border, providing wonderful dimension to the overall design. Completing the look is a textured stacked that band wraps around the back where it is stamped with a "STERLING" purity mark inside of the shank. The ring looks stunning on and the piece would make a lovely addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7.25 but could be re-sized. The centerpiece measures about 1 1/8" tall, 3/4 wide, and about 1/4" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting or to the carnelian stone which is secure and intact.
