An exquisite Arts and Crafts (ca1920) era sterling and Persian turquoise bracelet! This wonderful piece is comprised of 3 large links that are made of sterling silver and detailed with Persian turquoise stones. The links have an open wirework design with ornate twisted wire throughout. Set in the center of each link is a single, cabochon turquoise stone that is very large in size. Each center stone is surrounded by 4 smaller cabochon turquoise stones along with 8 enameled balls that were made to look like turquoise. Each link is surrounded by a wide ribbed border and 4 enameled balls rest on the outside of each. They connect to each other by 2 oval links that have an enameled ball detail in the center of each. The clasp is hidden within one of the links and there is a safety chain for added security. The tongue of the clasp is marked "SILVER". A very unusual and fantastic piece, this bracelet would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each link measures 2 1/4" at the widest point, 1 5/8" tall and 1/2" in depth. The entire length of bracelet is 7 1/2" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the silver or to any of the turquoise stones. There are multiple chips to the enameled balls however they aren't noticeable when the bracelet is worn. The clasp and safety chain are secure and in good working condition.
