This diamond encrusted bracelet is from Cartier's "Juste un Clou" ("Just a Nail") collection! These simple nail designs emerged in New York in the 1970s, representing rebellion and a sense of style that is both modern and darling. This particular Juste un Clou bracelet is crafted in 18k vibrant yellow gold, and forms the shape of a large 3-dimensional nail that wraps around the wrist. The front half of the bangle is adorned with pavé-set modern round brilliant cut diamonds, which add a wonderful sparkle to the piece. The diamonds display H/I color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The bangle is hinged at the back and has a unique, seamless clasped design where the nail head meets the tail. Stamped on the inside of the bangle are several hallmarks, including the official Cartier signature, a "750" purity mark, a "16", and "©VK8697". The inside of the bracelet is also marked with the letters "SCA", which are surrounded by a diamond-shaped frame. Measurements: The bracelet is a Cartier size 16, and would fit nicely on an average sized wrist. The inside opening of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and 1 7/8" tall. The surface of the bracelet measures approximately 1/8" thick. The overall pennyweight of the bracelet is 23.9 dwt.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The hinge and clasp are secure and in good working order.
