Wonderful and unusual sterling earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era. Made of sterling silver, these beautiful earrings are decorated with carved wood, emeralds, marcasites, onyx and enameling. The surmount of each earring is represented by a single cabochon onyx stone which is surrounded by 6 sparkling marcasites. Dangling from the surmount is a link with 3 bezel set marcasite stones which connects to the large triangular shaped link of the earring. Hand carved wood rests at the center of the widest point of these long earrings. The wood depicts a wonderful floral design and has a single cabochon emerald set in the center. The wood plaque is bezel set with millgrain and surrounded by a marcasite encrusted setting. There is a single white enameled oval right above the wood which gives a nice contrast to the other colors in the earrings. The back of each earring is stamped "STERLING". These wonderful earrings are extremely unusual and a must have for the Art Deco collection!
Measurements: Each earring measures approximately 2 3/4" long, 7/8" at the widest point and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the silver, wood or enameling and all of the stones are intact.
