Victorian 14K Gold Book Chain Collar Necklace 20"
SKU:45427
A fabulous 14K yellow gold book chain from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This wonderful piece is comprised of flat gold rings that alternate with fancy links, forming a beautiful collar chain necklace. The rings are smoothly polished and the oblong fancy links feature a twisted piece of gold sandwiched between two smooth ovals. The difference in texture and shape is highlighted by a beautiful rosy colored patina. The necklace has a secure clasp at the back. A fabulous chain necklace, it is comfortable to wear and would look wonderful worn alone or paired with a Victorian locket or pendant!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 20" long, is 3/8" at the widest point and 1/2" in depth. The necklace weighs 16.8dwt.
Condition: The overall condition of the book chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the chain and the clasp is secure and in good working condition. There is a noticeable patina that has developed throughout but could be polished if desired.
