An absolutely gorgeous locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful piece, which is made of vibrant 15kt yellow gold, has a raised 8-point appliqué starburst that sits on the front face. The gold starburst is rosy in color and at the center is a single old Mine Cut diamond which weighs approximately 0.40ct. The fantastic piece hangs from a fluted bail and the locket is hinged and opens to reveal two places for your favorite photograph, one which has a glass face. This exceptional locket is a beautiful piece and would be perfect addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: The locket hangs approximately 2 3/8" long, is 1 1/2" wide and 1/2" at the thickest point. The starburst on the face of the locket measures approximately 1 1/4" long and 7/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold and the diamonds is intact. The locket opens easily and stays securely closed.
