Victorian Sterling Enameled Diamond Anchor Earrings

Beautiful enameled anchor earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! These lovely earrings are crafted in gold plated sterling silver and have a rich black enameled surface. Each begins with a round button-like topper which has a black enameled surface and a 6-point star adorning the center. The star is carved into the surface of the silver and plated in gold and set in the center is a single old Rose Cut diamond. Dangling from below is a larger, oval-shaped link which also has a rich black enameled finish. A gold plated ornate anchor graces the center and an additional Rose Cut diamond is set at the base. A plated sterling bead dangles freely from the bottom of each earring, completing the lovely design perfectly and giving the earrings lovely movement when worn. The earrings hang from 14kt yellow gold wires and the back of each is stamped "M.S" (or possibly "M.5"). The earrings are absolutely beautiful and would make perfect everyday earrings for any collector!

Measurements: Each earring hangs slightly less than 1/1/2" long, are 1/2" and have a depth of 1/8".

Condition:  Overall the earrings are in great condition, besides normal wear, the plated silver setting and diamonds are intact. There is minimal surface wear to the black enameling on both earrings; this damage is very minor and not noticeable when worn.
