A magnificent locket pendant from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in 10k yellow and rose gold, the front of this locket features repoussé detailing. The raised repoussé detailing depicts the curling body of a snake. The serpent's body is decorated with texturizing scale-motif engravings, and a bezel-set diamond is nestled between the snake's open jaw. The .20ct mine cut diamond displays H/I color and SI1 clarity. The snake's eye is represented by a small bead-set garnet, which displays a pinkish-red hue. The backside of the locket is smooth and simple, and the piece opens and closes discreetly with a simple latch. The inside of the piece is stamped "10K" and with a fish-motif hallmark. The top of the locket features a complimentary bail. A bold locket pendant, this piece would blend seamlessly into any Edwardian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: The locket hangs approximately 1 1/4" long (including the bail) and has a width of 1".
Condition: The overall condition of the locket pendant is excellent. There is no damage to the gold setting, and the diamond and garnet are both secure and intact. The complimentary bail and locket latch are both secure and in working order.
