Edwardian 14k/Platinum Diamond Pipe Stick Pin

An incredibly lovely stick pin from the Edwardian (ca1915) era! This wonderful piece is made of rich 19k yellow gold and and topped with platinum. It portrays the simple image of a pipe, with the stem and mouthpiece in yellow gold and the shank and bowl topped with platinum and studded with diamonds. The stones are all single cut diamonds in shared bead settings. The backside of the pin shows the open backings of each stone, allowing light to flood the sparkling stones. The serial number "29998" is etched in the reverse of the pipe's stem. The piece comes in a red velvet box from the time period. A gorgeously made pin, this piece is ready to wear on your favorite jacket lapel or hat brim, or even converted into a ring or pendant at your request!
Measurements: The stickpin measures 2 3/4" in total length. The diameter of the pin measures 5/8" in diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the stickpin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting .
