A wonderful lizard pin from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This 2-tone piece is made of 14kt yellow and white gold, and is encrusted with diamonds and demantoid garnets. The body of the lizard is covered in sparkling mine cut diamonds, which range in size, resting in a fine pavé setting. Decorating the legs and tail are luscious demantoid garnets, which have a natural vibrant green color. Yellow gold accents can be found along the feet, adding further mixed metals appeal. The overall detail throughout the design is simply fantastic! On the back of the pin is a gold pin clasp, allowing it to fasten securely to a favorite garment. This whimsical piece and would make a stunning addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin measures approximately 2 1/8" long, 1" wide, and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the diamonds and demantoid garnet stones are intact. The pin clasp is secure and in good working condition.
