A lovely mixed metal disc pendant from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Crafted in platinum, this disc shaped pendant features the juxtaposed side profile of Hermes, the Greek god of messengers! Depicted in his winged helmet, Hermes gazes off into the distance as his tousled curls drape down his neck. The other side of the pendant is smooth and simple. Bordering the entire circumference of the disc are small, bead set rose cut diamonds. Completing the piece is a platinum bail decorated with small diamonds, which would allow the piece to hang from a favorite chain. This wonderful piece merges effortlessly into modern day fashion, and would make a fantastic addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The locket hangs 1 1/2" long, including the bail at the top. The platinum disc has a 1 1/8" diameter, and measures 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting. All of the diamonds are intact ands securely set, and the bail is in working order.
