A gorgeous ruby and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Crafted in platinum, this stylish piece features a stunning Burmese ruby cabochon at the center. The luscious stone displays a natural raspberry red color, and is nestled between a row of six French Cut diamonds. The sparkling accent diamonds catch the light beautifully with every turn, and are perfectly complimented by the smooth matte finish that has been applied to the surface of the setting. The band is slightly domed, graduating slightly as it nears back, and stamped inside the shank is "10% IRID PLAT." A very alluring piece, it looks absolutely fantastic when worn, and would make a spectacular accessory!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7, but could be easily re-sized. The gemstone centerpiece sits about a little under 1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures approximately 9mm wide at the front and 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. The diamonds and ruby are all intact and securely set. There is a naturally occurring inclusion on the surface of the ruby which is hardly noticeable when worn.
