An absolutely exquisite diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in platinum, this ring features a substantial navette-style centerpiece. The middle of the centerpiece features a 1ct old mine cut diamond, which is bead-set, and surrounded by an additional octagonal frame. The diamond displays I/J color and VS2 clarity. The remainder of the highly-intricate centerpiece is decorated with smaller, bead-set single cut diamonds, and gorgeous filigree-detailing. The smaller diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of .20ctw. The shoulders of the ring feature delicate engravings, and the remainder of the band is smooth and simple. The inside of the shank is stamped "CERTIFIED" and with a "PLATINUM" purity mark. An eye-catching ring, this piece would make a gorgeous addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is a size 6.25, but it could easily be resized. The band has a width of 1.25mm, and the navette centerpiece measures 7/8" tall and 5/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the diamonds are secure and intact.
