Born in Florence, Elsa Peretti's first introduction with her collection began at Tiffany & Co. in 1974. During that time her collection debuted to high acclaim. Her inspiration in jewelry came from nature with elements such as bones, beans, hearts, scorpions, snakes, teardrops and sea-shells. Peretti's designs are translated in a wide variety of materials, however her most popular designs are her works in silver.
A bold necklace designed for Tiffany & Co. by Elsa Peretti! Crafted in 18k vibrant yellow gold, this piece, known as the "Aegean" link necklace, is comprised of interlocking oval-shaped links, which feature a subtle curving design. The necklace secures with a hook clasp, and the backside of one of the links features both the Elsa Peretti and Tiffany & Co. signatures, as well as a "750" purity mark, and the word "SPAIN". A versatile piece, this necklace would look exquisite worn alone, or paired with other signed necklaces!
