Estate 18kt/14kt Carved Bone Skull + Wood Horn Pendant Compilation Necklace

A fabulous compilation necklace! This bold piece is comprised of two Estate era pendants, a substantially sized horn and a smaller bone skull, which together hang from a complementary vintage chain. The Oromalia brand horn is made of carved wood and exhibits a wonderful deep brown color. The piece is capped with a 14kt yellow gold topper and finished with a diamond encrusted bail which is hallmarked "OROMALIA" and stamped "750", "G*d" "ITALY", and "500". The bone skull is finely detailed in its anatomy, featuring hollowed eye sockets and carved teeth and two luscious red garnets dot each eyes. It is capped with an 18kt yellow gold bail and hangs from a split jump ring which secures to the chain.

The two pendants dangle from a vintage 9kt yellow gold anchor link chain, perfectly completing the bold look. The chain fastens at a secure spring ring clasp at the back and the adjoining link is marked with several English hallmarks including "375", a London assay mark, and the date letter "C", indicating its creation in 1977. This very stylish piece fits seamlessly into modern-day fashion and would be a wonderful addition to any collection.

Measurements: The chain necklace measures 24". The horn pendant measures 2 3/4" long, nearly 9/16" wide at the head, slightly more than 1/16" at its tip. The skull measures about 11/32" at its widest point, 13/16 long (including the bail, excluding the hanging ring), and is 15/32" thick.

Condition: The necklace and its pendants are in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to either pendant. The diamonds and garnets are all securely set within their respective pendants. The chain and its spring ring clasp are secure and in good working condition.
