A gorgeous and unique conversion 'Diamonds by the Yard' necklace. Crafted in 14k yellow gold and sterling silver, this stunning piece was converted from a Georgian (ca1750) era pin and is comprised of 12 table cut diamond links, which alternate with sections of delicate chain, coming together to form a lovely, flowing necklace. Each of the old table cut diamonds rests in their original sterling silver open back rub-over settings, allowing the light to pass through and beautifully catch the facets with every turn. In total, the diamonds weigh 3+ctw combined, exhibiting G-H range color and VS-SI range clarity. The necklace fastens in the back with a lobster clasp (stamped with a "14K" gold purity mark) and lays beautifully along the collarbone. An incredibly superb necklace that would look perfect worn day or night, it would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 16" long. The diamond links vary in size from about 4.25mm long and 3.95mm wide to about 5.85mm long and 5.15mm wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold chain or silver settings and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The clasp is intact and good working order
