A magnificent ruby and diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1850’s) era! Crafted in 18k and sterling silver, this piece features a central, prong-set cushion cut ruby. The 3.00ct ruby is simply mesmerizing, displaying a luscious pinkish-red hue. The ruby is surrounded by a halo of 10 rose cut diamonds, which are bead-set and rest atop a petal-shaped plaque. Together, the rose cut diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of .80ctw. The shoulders of the ring feature an elaborate scrolling-motif design, and the remainder of the band features a panel cutout-design. A one-of-a-kind treasure, this ring would make an exquisite addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is currently a size 8.5, but could be resized slightly. The band has a width of 2.82mm, and the centerpiece has a height of 3/4" and a width of 5/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling silver setting, and all of the stones are intact and securely set.
