A breathtaking ring from the Georgian (ca1790s) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold, this ring features an incredible navette centerpiece. The centerpiece features a central, large old mine cut diamond which is bordered above and below by two smaller diamonds. Together, the diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of 0.55ctw. The larger diamond is held within a prong setting, while the two small stones are bezel set. The centerpiece also features two large oval cut rubies, which are held within prong settings. The main stones are surrounded by a ruby halo, which features a variety of cuts. All of the stones in the halo are prong set, and display a wonderful reddish-pink hue. The gallery of the ring features intricate scalloped cutout designs, which further adds to the unique appeal of the piece. The shoulders of the ring feature intricate scrolling motif etchings, and the rest of the shank is smooth and simple. The back of the shank is stamped with a small eagle, indicating that the piece was crafted in 18k gold in France. An absolutely stunning piece, this ring would be a wonderful addition to any Georgian collection or a unique engagement ring.
Measurements: The ring fits a finger size of 5, but can easily be resized. The navette shape measures 1" long and 5/8" at its widest point. The band measures approximately 1.70mm.
Condition: The ring is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the stones are intact and securely set.
