A stunning textured link chain from the Georgian Era (ca. 1830s)! This beautiful handmade necklace is crafted in sterling silver and comprised of interlocking round links, which together form a gorgeous twisted rope design. Half of the links feature a textured stippled appearance which looks lovely against the smoothly polished rings. The chain secures with a wonderfully detailed box clasp disguised as a hand that is likely newer then the chain itself, but still adds wonderful charm and character to the piece. Thanks to its generous length, the necklace can easily slip on and off overhead and doubles nicely for a stylish layered look. This elegant chain fits seamlessly into modern-day fashion and would be a wonderful addition to any Georgian collection.
Measurements: The chain measures approximately 44.5" in total length and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the sterling silver setting or to any of the links. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
