Danish artist and designer, Henning Kopel, was born in May of 1918. Known for his collaborations with fellow Danish artist, Georg Jensen, following World War II, Kopel incorporated concepts of modernity and functionalism into his works. Kopel continued to work with Jensen until his death in 1981, and is admired for his unique innovations in jewelry, flatware, lamps, and glassware.
A Vintage (ca1960s) era ring designed by Henning Kopel for Georg Jensen! Crafted in sterling silver, this ring features a long, pill-shaped centerpiece. The surface of the oblong centerpiece is smooth and simple, and the ring is completed by an adjustable band. The inside of the piece features the Georg Jensen signature, a "925" purity mark, the word "DENMARK", and another small, worn hallmark. A bold, modernist piece, this ring would make a wonderful addition to any individual's collection!
Measurements: The ring is approximately a size 6.75, but could easily be stretched or tightened to comfortably fit the wearer. The centerpiece has a height of 2" and a width of 1/2".
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting.
