Late Art Deco Platinum Aquamarine Briolette + Diamond Earrings

A fabulous pair of aquamarine earrings from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! Each platinum earring dangles a beautifully faceted aquamarine briolette below a sparkling diamond-studded surmount. The aquamarines display a wonderful pale blue color, and are faceted to refract light in every direction. Each teardrop link is capped in platinum, and we estimate each briolette to weigh approximately 2.0ctw, totalling approximately 4 carats across the two stones. The diamonds are pavé set in the platinum surmount and weigh an estimated 0.80ctw/total with H/I range color and VS range clarity. Completing the elegant design are simple platinum posts with 14k white gold friction backs. These fabulous aquamarine danglers are ready for a night out on the red carpet, or a bridal debut!
Measurements: Each earring hangs 1 1/8" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or earring posts and backs. The aquamarine briolettes display some subtle natural inclusions and some minor surface wear, but have no significant chips, scratches, or cracks. The diamonds are intact and securely set. A small rose cut accent diamond has been replaced, restoring the earrings to their original design.
