MARGOT DE TAXCO Vintage Mexican Sterling Silver Enamel Fish-Motif Pin

A bold and colorful pin by Mexican designer, Margot de Taxco from the Vintage (ca1960s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this large pin depicts a fish squirting a swirling gust of water from its mouth! The entire surface of the pin is adorned with small enameled dots, which mimic confetti. The eye of the fish is represented by a small, bezel-set, black dot of enamel, and the creature's body features 3, bezel-set green dots of enamel. The tail of the fish is articulate, and is able to wiggle softly. The backside of the piece features the Margot de Taxco signature, a "925" purity mark, the word "MEXICO", and a serial number which reads: "3044". The piece secures with a simple pin clasp. A unique, signed piece, this pin would make a great addition to any jewelry collection!

Measurements: The pin has a height of 2" and a width of 3 3/4".

Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or to the enameling. The pin clasp is secure and in working order.
