A Figa is a symbol worn around the world to attract good luck to the person wearing it. It's depicted by a single clenched fist and can be made of a material such as metal, wood, stone or ivory, and is traditionally thought to bring good luck only if it is given as a gift.
A lovely Figa pendant/charm from the Retro (ca1940s) era! Crafted in 14k vibrant yellow gold, this Figa pendant/charm depicts a clenched fist. The wrist and fingers of the Figa are smooth and simple. However, the "cuff" which tops the clenched fest is highly-intricate, and is adorned with blooming floral and swirling-motifs. The cuff also features 2 lines of dainty twisted wirework, which frame the feminine engravings. The top of the piece features a complimentary bail, which would allow the pendant/charm to easily attach to a favorite gold chain or charm bracelet! A phenomenal piece, this pendant/charm would blend seamlessly into any collection!
Measurements: The Figa pendant hangs approximately 1 3/8" long (including the complimentary bail), and measures just under 3/8" at its widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the complimentary bail is secure and in working order.
