An incredibly lovely flower pin from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in 14k yellow gold and portrays the shape of a flower in bloom! The front surface of the flower is adorned with breathtaking enameling, which incorporates yellow and orange hues, which seamlessly blend together. The center of the flower features a three-dimensional insect adornment. The body and wings of the insect are encrusted with bead-set rose cut diamonds and exquisite pearls. The topmost petal of the flower also features a decorative prong-set rose cut diamond, which further adds to the lovely look of the pin! The flower features a gold stem, which twists behind the backside of the pin as well. The backside of the piece features a simple pin clasp, but a bail could easily be added to the piece as well! A highly-detailed piece, this pin would make a lovely addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The pin has a length of 1 5/8" and a width of 1 1/2".
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or enameling. All of the diamonds and pearls are secure and intact. The pin clasp is secure and in working order.
