A breathtaking opal and diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1880)s! This beautiful ring is crafted in 14k yellow gold and holds a gorgeous prong-set opal cabochon set in the center. The opal is simply mesmerizing, exhibiting iridescent hues of white, greens, orange, pink, blues, and violet, all of which flash in the light. A mine cut diamond border surrounds the opal center, forming a sparkling halo. The diamonds are prong set and have an approximate total carat weight of 1.10ctw. The shoulders of the ring feature a simple fanning-design which is further complemented by two three-dimensional gold balls which graduate in size. A smooth and simple gold band completes the design. The ring looks exquisite when worn and would make a very special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring is a size 6, but could be easily resized up or down as desired. The opal and diamond centerpiece measures approximately 1/2" tall and 5/8" wide. The band measures 1.03mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, or to the opal and diamond stones, all of which are intact and securely set.
