A beautiful sapphire bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) period! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, this piece features five sapphire stones, which are held in place by bead settings. The sapphires are further bordered by square-shaped frames. the stones display a marvelous cornflower blue hue, and are no heat Ceylon sapphires. Overall, the sapphires have an approximate total carat weight of 2.50ctw. The front surface of the bracelet also features six, three-dimensional flower motifs, which are represented by Etruscan-style wirework. The top and bottom edge of the bracelet feature three-dimensional small balls and an additional wirework border. The back half of the bangle is smooth and simple, and the piece secures with a hidden push clasp and additional safety chain. A stunning example of Victorian-era craftsmanship, this bangle would make a wonderful addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and approximately 1 7/8" tall. The surface is approximately 1/2" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting or Etruscan-style wirework. All of the sapphires are secure and intact, and the push clasp and safety chain are both in working order.
