A stunning bangle bracelet from the Victorian era (ca1880)! Crafted in 15k yellow gold, the front surface of the bangle features 3 flower motifs. The flowers are centered by old mine cut diamonds, which rest within four-prong settings. The petals of the flower are represented by small seed pearls, which are strung on a thin strand of wire. The front of the bangle also features a stripe of black enamel, which wonderfully contrasts the soft luster of the pearls. Additionally, the surface of the bangle features a unique lattice cutout design. The remainder of the bangle is smooth and simple, and the piece features an additional safety when opened. The safety is stamped with a patent mark which reads: "PAT JULY 7, 08". A truly phenomenal example of Victorian-era craftsmanship, this bangle would make a lovely addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 3/8" wide and 2" tall, and would fit nicely on an average/medium sized wrist. The surface of the bracelet measures 3/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the diamonds and pearls are secure and intact. There is no apparent damage to the enameling on the bangle. The hidden punch clasp is secure and in working order.
