An outstanding multi-stone pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This detailed piece is crafted in 15k gold and topped with Sterling Silver. It has a beautiful mine and rose cut diamond encrusted surface. The enchanting design incorporates a delicate three petal trefoil that is cradled within a lovely crescent moon. The trefoil features a .08ctw ruby, sapphire, and diamond. The crescent and trefoil are affixed to a gold bar with a six-pointed sterling star at either end with an old mine cut diamond bead set at the center. The brooch features a straight pin with a simple c-catch at the back, making it easy to add to your lapel. This pin was appraised in August of 2022 by an independent gemologist certified by the Gemologist Association of Australia and was given a retail replacement value of $4,000. This spectacular Victorian piece is simply breathtaking in person and would make a magnificent addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin measures just over 1 3/4" long and 1/2" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to any of the stones, all of which are intact and securely set. The pin clasp is both secure and in good working condition. There is a natural patina present on the surface of the setting, which is normal for Victorian era jewelry and adds to its natural beauty and character.
