Victorian 18k/14k Agate & Diamond Horseshoe Pendant Necklace

A beautiful horseshoe pendant necklace from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This gorgeous piece is crafted in 18k and 14k yellow gold, and begins with a dainty chain. The chain alternates between cable chain and ellipse-shaped links, and secures with a simple spring ring clasp. The chain is accompanied by a horseshoe-shaped pendant, which is adorned with channel-set, calibrated banded agates. The banded agate stones display a range of hues, incorporating deep black and mahogany brown tones with white inclusions. The front of the horseshoe also features 7, bezel-set, rose cut diamonds, which represent the nails of the horseshoe. The backside of the pendant features a maker's mark which reads: "I T I R 20 7". An extraordinary piece, this pendant necklace would make an exceptional addition to any antique jewelry collection!

Measurements: The chain has a total length of 16". The pendant has a width of 7/8" and a height of 7/8".
