A beautiful emerald and diamond halo ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold, this ring features a central, bead-set emerald. The emerald cut stone, which has an approximate total carat weight of .80ct, displays a lovely vibrant green hue. The emerald is encircled by a halo of 8, prong-set mine cut diamonds, which are wonderfully faceted, catching the light with every turn. Together, the diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of .40ctw, and display H/I color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The highly-raised prongs, which secure the diamonds, allow light to flood the back of the sparkling stones, and the remainder of the ring's centerpiece features dainty, texturizing engravings. The band of the ring is smooth and simple, and the inside of the shank features an "18" purity mark, and an original, personalized engravings which reads: "Waterman". An exquisite example of Victorian-era romance and craftsmanship, this ring would make a phenomenal addition to any antique ring collection!
Measurements: The ring is a size 5, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 2.48mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the stones are intact and securely set.
