A striking sapphire and diamond three-stone ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold and sterling silver, this incredible ring features a beautiful blue sapphire flanked by two large diamonds in an in-line mounting. The center stone is a GIA certified unheated Ceylon sapphire, which weighs approximately 3.75ct. It is flanked on both sides by two old mine cut diamonds, which weigh approximately 1.50ct each and exhibit I/J range color and SI1-2 range clarity. The stones rest in shared sterling silver collet settings, which lay in line along the smoothly polished, tapered gold band. The inside of the band is stamped with an "18ct" purity mark and the outside of the band is stamped with French import marks, indicating it was imported to France at some point between 1893 and 1990. The ring is accompanied by GIA Sapphire Origin Report #5234113407, dated November of 2023, stating the Sapphire's origin as Ceylon (Sri Lanka) with no indication of heat treatment. An absolutely breathtaking statement piece, this Victorian ring would make the perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 8.5 but could easily be re-sized. The centerpiece measures 7/8" long and just over 3/8" wide and rests approximately 1/4" off the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and silver setting and all three stones are intact and securely set.
