A bold compass pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in rose gold fill, this 3-dimensional and double-sided fob features a miniature compass set within the center of a unique setting. The glass covered compass face features red and black directional script on a yellow border, with a moving arrow in the center. A fantastic ribbed border surrounds the bezel-set glass, which is flanked by two decorative revolver motifs pointing upward towards the round bail that rests at the top. The realistic looking guns are embellished with fine milgrain work and subtle engraving, additional lovely textural elements to the design. This piece would look fantastic hanging from a favorite chain, and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The fob pendant hangs approximately 1 3/8" long (including the bail), measures about 1" wide, and is 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold-filled setting or to the surface of the glass and the compass is in good working order. The bail is secure and in good working condition.
